Janet and I enrolled for the beginners course at the Arthur Murray Dance Studios in Plumstead. So far we have had two lessons and believe it or not, I now know the moves for the foxtrot, tango, waltz, rhumba, samba and swing - still a little shaky though, BUT practice makes perfect they say. This week we are meant to be learning the cha cha and the mambo. Who knows, I may one day be seen on television, participating in the "Strictly Come Dancing" program - not likely though. Surprisingly enough, the majority of members are young folk and so are the dancing instructors, aged 35 years or younger according to my estimations.
We also attended the Spring social gathering at the studios on Friday night - was rather enjoyable and the members seem very friendly. The accompanying photos are of a poor quality - the camera setting was incorrect when the pics were taken - Grrrr!!!.

In the above pictures, the line dance is being performed and the instructors are taking a bow after a dancing demonstration.
