The Springboks defeated England by 15 points to 6 in the IRB Rugby World Cup final on Saturday. International sports writers and critics were unanimous in acknowledging that the Springboks were the best team at the World Cup, having not lost a single game. At the IRB Awards ceremony, Jake White received the award for best coach, the Springboks won the Team of the Year award and Bryan Habana was named Player of the Year.
The players will experience the Bok mania sweeping through South Africa when they arrive back home on Tuesday.
