Michael and Sonja arrived safely from New Zealand on Friday and they spent a few hours with us at #44 on Saturday afternoon (it was good to see them again). On Sunday 8th July, 2007 we went to Peter and Glenda for lunch. Peter made beef curry potjie on the fire and also braaied (barbecued) some marinated chicken pieces and boerewors (sausage) .... Nico saw to the braaing of the meat(as depicted in the picture) - see the potjie curry recipe on http://finefoodandpoetry.blogspot.com/ . Clive, Joy, Nico, Lucille, John and Bridget, with their children, were also present. As is usual for Glenda, there were a few different desserts to choose from and Lyndon's girlfriend baked a delicious chocolate cake. Oh, and I almost forgot .... we sipped some good red wine during the course of the afternoon.
