Uneventful weekend

The past weekend was rather uneventful. We were meant to have gone to see a live musical show(Celtic Rock) at The Barnyard in Tygervalley with some friends, but both Wendy and Nadine came down with the flu, so had to cancel (or postpone the outing for another time). However, we had Mark, Sharon, Paul, Cathy, Lauren and Melissa around for lunch on Sunday. Janet roasted 2 pork bellies and 2 chickens, made a vegetable lasagne together with roast potatoes and steamed vegetables. Paul and Cathy made a lemon cheese cake and Sharon made 2 desserts (a baked chocolate and peach dessert and a fridge tart). Oh, and I did nothing .... left it to the "experts" :). The food was very tasty and delicious - compliments to the chefs.
We had 3 birthdays in the family this week - Michael(Murphy) on the 3rd July, our late mother(grandmother), the following day and Gareth's, the day after. Gareth had some friends around for a few beers, cake and a chat - I believe the last of the friends left at about 1:30am the next morning.
.
Michael and Sonja arrived this morning from New Zealand and will be staying in South Africa until the 1st August.
